  12. Basically you need a 3.5 IDE Hard Drive install kit which consists of the
  13. following:
  14. 1.44 way ribbon cable.
  15. 2.40 way ribbon cable.
  16. 3.44 pin to 40 pin converter,basically a male 40 pin and a male 44 pin
  17. connector connected together on a small pcb.
  18. 4.A power cable to draw power from you A1200(Not recomended but works).
  19. You may need to install 2 IDE devices the master device being a Hard drive as
  20. I don't think you can boot from a CD Rom maybe you can with a cd with some
  21. form of WB on it.
  22. Two devices can be attatched using a standard 2 IDE device 40 way ribbon cable
  23. used on most PC's.
  24. It's probably safer to mount them both in a PC midi Tower from which you can
  25. draw your power.
  26. I've actually just finished putting together an instruction sheet on fitting
  27. various IDE devices to an A1200, if you E mail me your address I cam mail it
